Fall Festivals In & Around Fort Myers

Celebrate the season with festive autumn events and get into the swing of things. From craft beer parties to pumpkin patches and food festivals to zombie conventions, you’ll find an exciting array of fun activities this fall in and around Fort Myers. Here are some of our favorites:

Pumpkin’palooza – Discover three full days of live entertainment and autumn fun, including pumpkin decorating, a pumpkin patch, wagon rides, face painting and farm-fresh photo opps. Watch local dance teams perform, see the tallest scarecrow around, and shop for locally made gifts and treats. October 9-11 at Fleamasters Fleamarket

Pumpkin Patch & Pumpkin Festival – Explore a two-acre pumpkin patch and find the perfect one for your Halloween jack o’lantern – along with games, food, and family fun. October 9, 11, 16-18 & 23-25 at Fiesta Ranch

Cape Coral Oktoberfest – Billing itself as the largest and most authentic Oktoberfest celebration in the state, this outdoor event features a huge tented beer garden, three stages of music, two dance floors, an extensive menu of German cuisine, carnival rides and games, handmade crafts and more. October 16-18 & 23-25 at German-American Social Club

Zombiecon – The River District in Downtown Fort Myers is overrun with the living dead as thousands of zombies converge on the city. This year’s theme is Fallout: 1985. October 17 at Downtown Fort Myers

Brew-Ha-Ha Craft Beer Festival – Benefiting the Ronald McDonald House, this beer lover’s paradise features over 60 brews on tap for sipping, savoring and sampling. October 17 at Mercato

Desoto Pumpkin Festival – Pony rides and a petting zoo. Carnival games. Hayrides and trick or treating – and a whole land of bouncy houses. Find it all at this community festival in Arcadia – plus pie eating contests, a pumpkin patch and live entertainment all weekend long. October 17 & 18 at Veterans Park

Sarasota Pumpkin Festival – Attracting more than 40,000 festival goers each year, this fun fall party celebrates the sights, smells and sounds of the season. Features include a pumpkin patch and maze, free hayrides, a petting zoo and family activities for all ages. October 23 at Payne Park

Stonecrab Festival – Head over to Naples Waterfront for a three-day culinary extravaganza that celebrates the soft, succulent meat of the stonecrab. Attractions include a block party, sightseeing cruises, craft vendors and a kids zone with face painting and games. October 23-25 at Port of Naples Marina

Boots, Brews and BBQ – Kick up your heels at this classic hoedown, which features plenty of dancing and delicious barbeque. Listen to live music by Cahlua and Cream, and enjoy an exciting raffle that benefits the Thelma Hodges Friends of the University Scholarship Fund. October 24 at The Club at Pelican Bay
